About Me

Teacher turned instructional designer.  How did that happen?  Well throughout my career in public education I found that I really enjoyed creating engaging lessons and eLearning simulations to help bridge gaps in student learning. But even beyond that, I enjoyed diving in to find the root of the problem that needed to be solved.

After dabbling in instructional design without even knowing I was dabbling, I stumbled upon what an instructional designer does.  This was eye opening!  It was what I loved to do and I finally found a title for it.  I didn’t even realize that this career existed.

After my “aha” moment, I dove in head first immersing myself in the nuts and bolts of what it takes to become a dynamic instructional designer.  I continued to develop the skills I already had and looked to transitioning into full time instructional design work.

It’s definitely been a journey, but an invigorating journey full of continuous growth and development.

As an instructional designer, I look to better a learners growth with the best possible learning solutions.  For the client, I work toward providing learning materials that result in measurable performance improvement.

Working with clients to produce these learning solutions is always fun and exciting.  Each project is different, and technology is always evolving, so there’s never a dull moment.
